The Census Tribal Coding Project
“What is in a name,” Shakespeare asked. For the Census, a name is how an Alaska Native village or corporation, tribe, reservation, or Native Hawaiian Area is identified.
For all Census surveys, it is important that you are able to identify your tribe, corporation, village or other tribal affiliation accurately. This page provides resources to review the names associated with each code with information on how to update them.
